Mitchell is active for Wednesday's game against the Texans, Clifford Brown of the Ravens' official site reports. Mitchell has been a healthy inactive for the Ravens' last three games, but he will suit up Christmas Day due to Justice Hill being ruled out with a concussion. Baltimore has opted to have rookie fifth-round pick Rasheen Ali serve as the backup running back behind Derrick Henry over its last three games, so Mitchell would figure to operate as the third option out of the backfield Wednesday due to Hill's absence, though most of Mitchell's production will likely come in kickoff return duties.

Will play against Houston

Inactive again Week 16

Mitchell (coach's decision) is inactive against the Steelers on Saturday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports. Mitchell will be a healthy scratch for a third consecutive game. Rasheen Ali will join Derrick Henry and Justice Hill to serve as Baltimore's third active running back for Saturday's rivalry game.
Remains inactive

Mitchell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants. Mitchell returned from a torn ACL in Week 10 but played only three total offensive snaps in three games thereafter. He's now a healthy scratch for the second straight week, allowing Rasheen Ali to suit up for the third time on the campaign.
Inactive Sunday

Mitchell is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Mitchell, who didn't log any snaps on offense in Week 12, will be the odd man out in the Baltimore backfield Sunday. In his absence, Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Rasheen Ali are the team's available running backs versus Philadelphia.
No role in offense yet

Mitchell did not get a touch on two offensive snaps Sunday against the Steelers. The Ravens continue to slow-play Mitchell's reintroduction to the offense. Through two games, Mitchell has zero touches on three offensive snaps. He's been involved in the kick return game, but his role in the offense has been minimal since returning from a significant knee injury last December. The Ravens have two more games before the bye -- at the Chargers in Week 12 and home against the Eagles in Week 13 -- so it's possible that Mitchell will start to get more involved down the stretch. In the meantime, though, Mitchell is buried on the running back depth chart.
Limited snaps in return

In his return to action in Thursday's 35-34 win over the Bengals, Mitchell logged two snaps on offense and seven on special teams, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports. It's not surprising that in his first game back since having suffering a torn ACL in his left knee in Week 15 of the 2023 campaign, Mitchell -- who didn't record a carry or target Thursday -- was eased back into the mix. The 22-year-old speedster did return one kickoff for 30 yards versus Cincinnati, and we'd expect him to incrementally see more snaps in the coming weeks. However, with Derrick Henry entrenched as the Ravens' lead back and Justice Hill working in a change-of-pace role, it may be a while before Mitchell sees enough volume to merit fantasy lineup consideration.
Active for Thursday's game

Mitchell (knee) is active for Thursday night's game against the Bengals. After being activated from the reserve/PUP list ahead of the contest, Mitchell is slated to see his first game action since suffering a torn ACL in his left knee in Week 15 of the 2023 campaign. While he's no threat to Derrick Henry's perch atop the Ravens' RB depth chart, Mitchell should be able to carve out a complementary role in the team's backfield alongside Justice Hill. In such a capacity, Mitchell initially will carry modest fantasy lineup upside, but his presence going forward should, at a minimum, provide Baltimore's ground game with a welcome boost in terms of speed and depth.
Activated from PUP list

Mitchell (knee) was activated from the reserve/PUP list ahead of Thursday's game against the Bengals, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports. Mitchell remains listed as questionable after he was a full practice participant this week, but he's poised to make his season debut versus Cincinnati nonetheless. Official confirmation of his Week 10 status will arrive once the Ravens' inactive list is posted ahead of Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. Before tearing the ACL in his left knee last December, Mitchell had been in the midst of a promising rookie season in which he carried 47 times for 396 yards (8.4 YPC) and two touchdowns to go with nine receptions for 93 yards on 11 targets over eight games. Now that he's healthy, Mitchell will fill a change-of-pace role behind lead back Derrick Henry.
Chance to play in Week 10

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Monday that Mitchell (knee) has a chance to play in Thursday night's matchup against the Bengals, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Mitchell practiced in full all week but wasn't able to suit up for Sunday's blowout win over the Broncos. He was designated to return from the Ravens' reserve/PUP list Oct. 23, and Harbaugh's comments Monday suggest he could make his 2024 debut in Week 10. If Mitchell is activated in time for Thursday night's contest, he'll likely serve as the team's No. 3 running back behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
