Knecht chipped in 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 win over Golden State. Following the injury suffered by Anthony Davis, Knecht saw more time on the floor on Christmas Day against the Warriors. The rookie forward was highly productive in 25 minutes and might get more minutes if Davis misses time, especially with the Lakers already without Christian Wood and Jarred Vanderbilt.

Latest Lakers News
Dalton Knecht : Rookie gets back on track
Knecht chipped in 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 win over Golden State. Following the injury suffered by Anthony Davis, Knecht saw more time on the floor on Christmas Day against the Warriors. The rookie forward was highly productive in 25 minutes and might get more minutes if Davis misses time, especially with the Lakers already without Christian Wood and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Rui Hachimura : Season-best effort from long range
Hachimura ended with 18 points (6-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 victory over the Warriors. The five threes were a season high for Hachimura, and as a result the 26-year-old forward scored more than 10 points for the first time since Dec. 8. He remains a secondary option in the Lakers' offense, and through 11 games in December, Hachimura is averaging 12.4 points, 5.6 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 threes while shooting 52.6 percent from the floor.
Max Christie : Pops for 16 in win
Christie closed with 16 points (5-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 victory over Golden State. The third-year wing scored in double digits for the second straight game and the third time in seven starts since being elevated from the bench. Christie is averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 boards, 1.6 threes, 1.1 steals and 1.0 assists in 29.3 minutes a contest during that stretch, and with the Lakers having gone 5-2 since his addition to the starting five, a shakeup that bumps him back to the bench doesn't seem to be on the horizon.
LeBron James : Big double-double against Dubs
James racked up 31 points (12-22 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, 10 assists, one block and two steals across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 victory over the Warriors. Playing in his NBA-record 19th Christmas Day game, James didn't seem bothered by his nagging foot issue as he delivered his 15th double-double of the season and his seventh game with 30 or more points in 28 appearances. Over five contests since returning from a two-game absence earlier this month due to the injury, the 39-year-old future Hall of Famer is averaging 25.6 points, 8.4 assists, 7.2 boards, 1.8 threes, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor.
Austin Reaves : Triple-double in Christmas win
Reaves ended with 26 points (8-20 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 victory over the Warriors. It was the first triple-double of the season for Reaves, and the 12th of his career. The boards and dimes were both season highs for the fourth-year guard, and he's been performing at a high level since returning from a five-game absence to begin December due to a pelvic contusion. Over his last six contests, Reaves is averaging 19.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.7 threes and 1.2 steals.
Anthony Davis : Says he will play Saturday
Davis (ankle) says he is OK and will play in Saturday's game against the Kings, Dave McMenamin of ESPN reports. Davis told ESPN he is fine and good to go for the Lakers' next game. This is great news for the Lakers, considering they barely escaped Golden State with a win that Davis mostly sat out. Perhaps the Lakers' injury report may include Davis before the weekend, but his personal update is a promising indicator that he will be available when they host the Kings. Even though they significantly affected Davis' shooting efficiency the last two times both teams played, he still finished those games with a strong defensive presence by averaging 17.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks.
Anthony Davis : Able to walk normally, day-to-day
Davis (ankle) is able to walk without any support and is day-to-day going into Saturday's game against the Kings, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. Davis walking without any support is a positive update on his ankle, which had caused him to exit Thursday's game at Golden State and was in bad-enough shape that he was ruled out for the matchup. Before the Lakers play the Kings, Davis' ankle status is expected to be updated, and negative news on that front would likely mean his team depends on two-way player Christian Koloko a lot more in the post.
Anthony Davis : Out for remainder of game
Davis (ankle) is out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. Davis will finish Wednesday's game with zero points (0-3 FG), two rebounds and one assist in seven minutes. Without him available for Wednesday's matchup, the Lakers have had to rely on two-way player Christian Koloko at center or go with a small-ball rotation and no true center in the post. As for Davis, he will look to get back in shape before the Lakers host the Kings on Saturday.
