Lillard (illness) is out for Thursday's game against the Nets, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. Lillard missed two games in a row due to a strained right calf and now will miss a third one due to an illness. The Bucks are at their best when their star guard is on the floor, and to make things even more complicated, Giannis Antetokounmpo (back) won't be available, either. Lillard's next chance to return will come Saturday against the Bulls. In the meantime, expect Delon Wright, AJ Green, and Ryan Rollins to see increased minutes in the backcourt.
Antetokounmpo (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Nets, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. Antetokounmpo missed the Bucks' previous two contests due to back spasms, and he will now miss his third consecutive outing due to the illness. The superstar's next chance to feature will come Saturday against the Bulls, and Bobby Portis should continue seeing an increased role in Antetokounmpo's absence.

Antetokounmpo was initially deemed questionable due to back spasms that caused him to miss Milwaukee's previous two contests but is now dealing with an illness. Regardless, Bobby Portis should draw another start if the superstar forward is ultimately ruled out against Brooklyn.
The Bucks assigned Smith to the G League's Wisconsin Herd on Thursday. Smith tallied two points (1-1 FG) and two rebounds in four minutes during Milwaukee's most recent outing against Chicago on Monday. However, the rookie big man will head back to the Herd in hopes of receiving extended playing time.
