Nix (ankle) is out for Friday's game against the Rockets. Nix isn't a regular in the Timberwolves' rotation, so he's not expected to have a large role even if fit. His next chance to play will come against the Spurs on Sunday.

Timberwolves Injury Report
Latest Timberwolves News
Daishen Nix : Not playing Friday
Nix (ankle) is out for Friday's game against the Rockets. Nix isn't a regular in the Timberwolves' rotation, so he's not expected to have a large role even if fit. His next chance to play will come against the Spurs on Sunday.
Luka Garza : Another absence coming
Garza (ankle) is out for Friday's game versus the Rockets. Garza's absence streak will extend to four games Friday due to a left ankle sprain. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with San Antonio.
Joe Ingles : Still out
Ingles (calf) won't play in Friday's game versus the Rockets. Ingles hasn't played since Nov. 1 and continues to deal with a left calf injury. Until the Timberwolves release an official injury report to update the veteran forward's status, he can be considered out indefinitely.
Anthony Edwards : Scores team-high 26 in win
Edwards totaled 26 points (11-24 FG, 4-7 3Pt), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 105-99 victory over the Mavericks. Edwards struggled over the last three games before getting back on track on Christmas Day against the Mavericks, scoring a team-high 26 points to help beat Dallas. This is a promising sign that Edwards might be getting back to form.
Julius Randle : Solid all-around performance
Randle notched 23 points (6-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds and eight assists across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 105-99 victory over Dallas. Randle helped the Timberwolves get the best of the Mavericks on Christmas Day by filling up the stat sheet alongside Anthony Edwards. Randle has now put up a double-double in consecutive games while dishing out seven or more assists, making him a well-rounded threat for Minnesota.
Josh Minott : Plays just six minutes in win
Minott closed with two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one block across five minutes during Wednesday's 105-99 victory over the Mavericks. Minott was used sparingly again, continuing what has been a frustrating start to the season. Although he has played in more games than he has missed, Minott typically logs most of his playing time down the stretch when the game is done and dusted. Barring injuries to those around him, his role is unlikely to change moving forward.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker : Muted effort Wednesday
Alexander-Walker finished with eight points (3-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 15 minutes during Wednesday's 105-99 win over the Mavericks. Alexander-Walker scored single digits for the second time in the past three games, adding very little in terms of peripheral production. The Timberwolves are struggling to find a guard rotation that works, resulting in an unpredictable timeshare for Alexander-Walker. With that said, he is currently averaging a career-high 23.4 minutes per game, putting up 9.4 points, 0.9 steals and 1.7 three-pointers.
Rudy Gobert : Double-doubles in win
Gobert had 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 105-99 victory over Dallas. Gobert turned in an adequate performance, recording just his second double-double in the past five games. Although it has been a steady start to the season, Gobert's overall production has dipped when compared to the 2023-24 season. To this point, he is averaging 10.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 34.1 minutes per game.
