Achiuwa chipped in five points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 117-114 win over San Antonio. Achiuwa saw a handful of extra minutes in the win, with Karl-Anthony Towns picking up his fifth foul early in the final quarter. The additional playing time allowed Achiuwa to grab double-digit rebounds for just the third time this season. Although he is typically the first, and only, big off the bench, Achiuwa's role is relatively underwhelming given the Knicks run with a very shallow rotation.

Latest Knicks News
Precious Achiuwa : Grabs 10 boards Wednesday
Josh Hart : Double-doubles in win
Hart registered 12 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 117-114 win over the Spurs. Hart did his thing Wednesday, cobbling together another double-double, his ninth of the season. Following an underwhelming preseason, Hart hit the ground running once the regular season took off. Through the first 29 games, Hart is averaging 13.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 36.8 minutes per contest.
Mikal Bridges : Dominates in Christmas Day victory
Bridges logged 41 points (17-25 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, four assists, two blocks and two steals over 43 minutes during Wednesday's 117-114 victory over San Antonio. Bridges was on fire in the win, dropping a season-high 41 points as the Knicks held on for a hard-fought victory. After beginning the season poorly, Bridges appears to have settled in nicely over the past month. During that time, he has averaged a healthy 20.9 points per game, adding 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.2 three-pointers. Assuming he can remain healthy, Bridges should be a key piece for the Knicks as they look to put together a deep playoff run.
Matt Ryan : Back with New York on two-way pact
The Knicks re-signed Ryan to a two-way contract on Tuesday. New York waived the 27-year-old from its 15-man roster Sunday to make room for Landry Shamet, but after clearing waivers, Ryan will be brought back just a couple days later to fill one of the team's three two-way slots. Ryan has appeared in nine games for the Knicks this season, averaging 1.7 points across 5.0 minutes.
Miles McBride : Impresses off bench
McBride accumulated 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, five assists and two steals across 25 minutes during Monday's 139-125 victory over the Raptors. McBride's production has been all over the place in December, but he's seen at least 20 minutes in nine of his last 10 contests. During that span, he's produced averages of 9.9 points, 3.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 2.2 three-pointers in 23.9 minutes.
Jalen Brunson : Rare scoring dud Monday
Brunson contributed 12 points (4-13 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-8 FT), one rebound, seven assists and two steals over 32 minutes before fouling out of Monday's 139-125 victory over the Raptors. Brunson tied his season-low scoring output with 12 points during a poor shooting night, and he took a back seat to teammates OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns going for 31 points apiece. Even with Monday's dud, Brunson is averaging a healthy 23.1 points, 7.4 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 3.4 three-pointers while shooting 49.1 percent from deep over his last nine games. The 28-year-old star guard is also shooting a career-best 43.4 percent from downtown and averaging a career-high 7.6 dimes on the campaign entirely, so he's certainly thriving when it comes to shooting efficiency and facilitating with the new-look Knicks, even if Brunson's usage rate is down from what it was during his MVP-caliber 2023-24 season.
Cameron Payne : Pops for season-high 19 points
Payne ended with 19 points (7-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and one steal over 15 minutes during Monday's 139-125 win over Toronto. Payne popped for a season-high 19 points off the bench during the blowout win, picking up some of the slack left behind by Jalen Brunson's 12 points in New York's starting lineup. Over his last eight games, Payne is averaging 7.4 points, 2.4 assists, 1.4 rebounds and 1.5 three-pointers in 14.5 minutes as the Knicks' backup floor general. The 30-year-old point guard remains off most fantasy radars while Brunson is healthy, so managers in the majority of leagues shouldn't be looking to add Payne from waiver wires despite Monday's scoring outburst.
Karl-Anthony Towns : Rebounds with big double-double
Towns totaled 31 points (11-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 32 minutes before fouling out of Monday's 139-125 win over Toronto. Towns teased his first triple-double of the campaign in Monday's easy win, co-leading the Knicks with 31 points alongside OG Anunoby and also tying with Jalen Brunson for the team high with seven assists. It was an emphatic rebound performance for Towns, who had scored a season-low 11 points on 3-for-10 shooting from the field in Saturday's win over New Orleans. The star big man continues to flourish during his first year in New York, shooting a career-high 45.6 percent from downtown and averaging a career-best 13.9 rebounds over 27 appearances in 2024-25.
