Shakir recorded two receptions on six targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Patriots. Shakir finished second on the team with six targets, though the Bills' passing game was slowed due to an uncharacteristically slugging showing from Josh Allen. That left Shakir with an inefficient stat line, with his longest catch of the day going for just 12 yards. Despite earning consistent volume, he has now been held under 40 receiving yards in three of his last four games.

Khalil Shakir Latest News
Quiet against New England

Shakir recorded two receptions on six targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Patriots. Shakir finished second on the team with six targets, though the Bills' passing game was slowed due to an uncharacteristically slugging showing from Josh Allen. That left Shakir with an inefficient stat line, with his longest catch of the day going for just 12 yards. Despite earning consistent volume, he has now been held under 40 receiving yards in three of his last four games.
Another TD in Week 15 win

Shakir secured six of seven targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 48-42 win over the Lions on Sunday. Shakir paced the Bills in receptions and tied for the team lead in targets while scoring a touchdown for the second straight game on a three-yard grab late in the third quarter. Shakir has at least five catches in six of the last seven games, affording him a solid PPR floor heading into a Week 16 home matchup against the Patriots.
Scores long touchdown

Shakir recorded five receptions on eight targets for 106 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-42 loss to the Rams. Shakir was a non-factor in the first half, recording only 21 yards on two targets. He came alive as the offenses matched blows in the final two quarters, however, highlighted by a 51-yard touchdown grab, which came primarily after the catch as he bounced off defenders. On Buffalo's next possession, Shakir caught a 34-yard pass from Josh Allen that finished just one yard shy of another trip to the end zone. This was Shakir's second 100-yard performance of the season and his first touchdown since Week 3.
Team-high seven targets in win

Shakir caught four of seven targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 35-10 win over the 49ers. Seven of Josh Allen's 17 passes were directed to Shakir, as the wideout led the Bills in catches and targets while finishing second behind Dawson Knox (56) in receiving yards. This was only the second time in his last 10 games that Shakir failed to reach 50 receiving yards, and his shortfall here can be attributed to playing in snowy conditions. Weather shouldn't be an issue for Buffalo's passing game in sunny Los Angeles against the Rams in Week 14.
Leading WR Sunday

Shakir had eight receptions on 12 targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 30-21 victory over the Chiefs. Shakir finished as the Bills' leading receiver in a decisive victory over another conference contender. The 24-year-old has blossomed into a consistent fantasy asset in his third year. Through 10 games this season, Shakir is just 12 yards shy of matching his entire production during the 2023 regular season in seven fewer games. The receiver's lack of touchdowns (two) has kept him from becoming a certified fantasy breakout as the Bills enter a bye week.
Busiest pass catcher in win

Shakir brought in six of nine targets for 58 yards in the Bills' 30-20 win over the Colts on Sunday. Shakir recorded team-high reception and target numbers while checking in second in receiving yards. Shakir primarily works in a short-area role but did log a 30-yard catch Sunday, and he now has at least six receptions in four consecutive contests. Shakir will look to record his first touchdown catch since Week 3 in a Week 11 home showdown against the Chiefs.
Typical production in Week 9 win

Shakir caught six of seven targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Dolphins. Shakir finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Ray Davis (70), who got the vast majority of his production on a 63-yard touchdown catch. The Bills were without wide receiver Amari Cooper (wrist) for this one, but that didn't meaningfully affect Shakir, who is averaging 5.3 catches for 58.9 receiving yards per game heading into a Week 10 road game against the Colts.
Could be team's top wideout Sunday

Shakir, receiver Keon Coleman and tight end Dalton Kincaid are expected to operate as quarterback Josh Allen's primary options in the passing game Sunday against the Dolphins with Amari Cooper (wrist) inactive for the contest, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. The absence of Cooper may not necessarily result in an improved outlook for Shakir in Week 9; the third-year wideout had actually posted his two highest catch and target totals of the season (7-65-0 receiving line on seven targets in Week 7, 9-107-0 on 10 targets in Week 8) in the Bills' first two games following the acquisition of Cooper from the Browns. That being said, the opportunity for Shakir to play more snaps should be available with Cooper out of the mix, and if the Bills find themselves in a negative game script and end up eschewing the run in the second half, Shakir would presumably benefit to some degree.
Cracks century mark in win

Shakir finished with nine receptions (10 targets) for 107 yards in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Seahawks. Shakir finished with a game-high total of 107 receiving yards, marking the first time in 2024 he as surpassed 100 yards in single outing. New addition Amari Cooper was limited to just one reception in a run-heavy contest, but both receivers should continue to start across from each other moving forward. Shakir should be considered at least a flex option in most formats heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Dolphins.
