Williams had signed with the team's active roster back in October, after having previously spent time on their practice squad, but will now head to waivers. He's recorded 13 tackles (six solo), with 0.5 sacks, and will now look to catch on with another team.
Williams was elevated to the Panthers' active roster Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Williams has appeared in two games with Carolina this season, recording two total tackles (one solo). He'll provide the team with an additional depth option on the defensive line against the Falcons on Sunday.
The Bills signed Williams to a one-year contract Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. Williams suited up for 16 regular-season games with the Panthers last season, a span in which he racked up 33 tackles (13 solo) and one sack. He stands to bolster Buffalo's defensive line as a depth piece for the 2024 season.
