Records nine tackles in win

Strnad recorded nine tackles (two solo) in Denver's win over the Colts on Sunday. Strnad played a season-high 93 percent of the defensive snaps against Indianapolis and matched his season best with the nine tackles, which he's done three times. On the year, Strnad has 63 tackles (40 solo), including 3.0 sacks, four QB hits and three pass breakups.
Team-leading nine tackles Thursday

Strnad logged nine tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Thursday's 33-10 win over the Saints. Strnad has logged at least seven combined tackles in three straight games. He sacked Spencer Rattler midway through the fourth quarter, and Strnad's 3.0 sacks on the season have all come over the last four regular-season games.
Notches sack in defeat

Strnad registered seven tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's Week 6 loss to the Chargers. Strnad's fourth-quarter sack came on third down, resulting in a Chargers punt. It was the linebacker's second sack over the past three weeks after coming into the campaign with no sacks over 50 career regular-season games. Strnad didn't have much of a chance to get to the quarterback prior to 2024, though, as he played exclusively on special teams in both 2022 and 2023.
Records nine tackles in win

Strnad recorded nine tackles (seven solo) in the Broncos' win over the Raiders on Sunday. Making his second start in place of an injured Alex Singleton (knee, IR), Strnad logged 73 percent of the defensive snaps and was Denver's leading tackler. Over the last two weeks, Strnad has recorded 13 tackles (10 solo), including three TFLs and 1.0 sacks.
Logs two TFLs vs. Jets

Strnad recorded four total tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks and an additional tackle for loss, in Sunday's 10-9 win over the Jets. The Wake Forest product was filling in for the injured Alex Singleton (knee) in Week 4 and didn't disappoint, leading the Broncos in tackles for loss while notching the first sack of his career. After Sunday's performance, Strnad is expected to continue starting alongside Cody Barton in Denver's inside linebacker corps.
Good to go vs. Packers

Strnad (groin) participated in warmups ahead of Sunday's preseason game against Green Bay, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Strnad sustained a groin injury that kept him out of Denver's preseason opener against Indianapolis on Aug. 11. Now healthy, he'll use Sunday's game to make his case for a depth inside linebacker spot on the Broncos' final 53-man roster. The 2020 fifth-round pick played all 389 of his snaps last year on special teams and finished with five tackles (four solo) across 17 regular-season games.
Nursing groin injury

Strnad was unavailable for practice Tuesday with a groin injury, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports. Strnad will have a few more days to get back out on the practice field ahead of Denver's preseason opener Sunday in Indianapolis. The linebacker re-signed with the Broncos in March, and he's attempting to secure a top reserve spot at interior linebacker in 2024.
Decides to remain with Denver

Strnad agreed Tuesday with the Broncos on a one-year deal, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Strnad was reportedly close to signing a deal with the Panthers, but ultimately the 27-year-old elected to remain in Denver. He played in all 17 regular-season contests in 2023 but played solely on special teams and finished with just five tackles. The Wake Forest product is thus in line to serve as a depth linebacker and core special-teams contributor for Denver in 2024.
Finds new home

Strnad has agreed to a one-year deal with the Panthers, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Strnad spent his first three seasons in Denver, but he will now get a fresh start with Carolina in 2024. He has suited up for every game of this three-year career, but he was primarily just a special teams contributor the past two seasons. The 27-year-old will now work to make an impression with his new team during offseason activities.
