Musgrave (ankle) was limited at Thursday's practice. Green Bay has placed practice restrictions on both Musgrave and Tucker Kraft (hip) this week, but it doesn't appear as if either player's status is in peril for Sunday's game at Minnesota. Friday's injury report may provide clarity on the overall situation at tight end for the Packers in Week 17.

Remains limited Thursday

Musgrave (ankle) was limited at Thursday's practice. Green Bay has placed practice restrictions on both Musgrave and Tucker Kraft (hip) this week, but it doesn't appear as if either player's status is in peril for Sunday's game at Minnesota. Friday's injury report may provide clarity on the overall situation at tight end for the Packers in Week 17.
Limited listing to begin week

Musgrave (ankle) was listed as limited on Wednesday's estimated practice report. Both Musgrave and Tucker Kraft (hip) have LP next to their names on the Packers' first Week 17 injury report, but at least Musgrave's health concern is an existing one, while Kraft's is new. In his first game action since Week 4 on Monday against the Saints, Musgrave was targeted once among his eight offensive snaps.
Back in action Monday

Musgrave (ankle) is listed as active Monday against the Saints, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Musgrave thus will be available for the first time since Week 4 after completing his recovery from ankle surgery that was performed in early October. Tucker Kraft has taken over as Green Bay's No. 1 TE, but Musgrave should be in the mix for snaps and targets at the position along with Ben Sims and John FitzPatrick. In four games before the injury, Musgrave hauled in five of seven targets for 22 yards and no touchdowns.
Officially comes off IR

The Packers activated Musgrave (ankle) off injured reserve Monday. Musgrave had been on IR since Oct. 11 due to an ankle injury. He was designated to return Dec. 11 but didn't play last Sunday against Seattle. However, Musgrave logged a trio of limited practices this week and now appears set to return to action Monday. Tucker Kraft will likely continue working at Green Bay's top tight end, though once Musgrave has ramped up enough, he could eat into Kraft's opportunities.
Expected to suit up vs. Saints

Musgrave (ankle) is in line to be activated from IR and suit up for Monday's game against the Saints, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Musgrave is officially listed as questionable for Monday Night Football and currently remains on IR, but Green Bay is expected to activate him prior to the 4:00 p.m. ET deadline. The second-year tight end figures to be worked back into action in his return to the field from ankle surgery undergone due to an injury sustained Week 4, especially with Tucker Kraft still available atop the depth chart.
Questionable, still on IR

Musgrave (ankle), who remains on injured reserve, is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Saints, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. For a second week in a row, Musgrave operated with a cap on his practice reps, but this time around he actually has a chance to play for the first time since Week 4. He'll need to be activated by 4:00 p.m. ET on Monday to get back on the active roster, and the Packers then will be required to post a list of inactives about 90 minutes before an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, which he'll need to avoid to be available again to Green Bay's offense.
Another limited showing

Musgrave (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Friday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Musgrave has operated with a cap on his practice reps since the Packers designated him for return from injured reserve last Wednesday. He wasn't activated for the team's Week 15 win at Seattle, but coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that Musgrave "potentially" may be able to play Monday against the Saints, as the tight end has "looked pretty good out there the last couple days," per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. Saturday's injury report will reveal whether or not Musgrave has a designation for that contest.
Limited Thursday

Musgrave (ankle) was limited at Thursday's practice, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Musgrave has been listed as limited on Packers' injury reports since the team designated him for return from injured reserve last Wednesday. He's in the later stages of his recovery from ankle surgery that was performed in early October, and he may need to get back to full participation by Saturday in order to have a chance to be activated ahead of Monday's game against the Saints.
Won't return in Week 15

Musgrave (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest at Seattle, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Green Bay designated Musgrave for return from injured reserve Wednesday, after which the second-year tight end cobbled together three limited practices. Considering he wasn't able to get back to full participation by week's end, it's no surprise he won't be available Week 15. Tucker Kraft will continue to serve as the Packers' top tight end Sunday, with Ben Sims and John FitzPatrick mixing in behind him. Musgrave's next chance to play will arrive Monday, Dec. 23 against the Saints.
