The Dolphins designated McMorris (foot) to return from injured reserve Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The move opens McMorris' 21-day practice window after the sixth-round rookie was placed on injured reserve in late August. The Dolphins will have three weeks to make a decision on whether to activate the rookie safety.
The Dolphins placed McMorris (foot) on the reserve/injured list Thursday. The Dolphins' rookie sixth-round pick sustained a foot injury at the tail end of training camp, which caused him to miss the preseason finale against the Buccaneers on Friday.
