Davis rushed three times for 12 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams. Breece Hall worked as the clear lead back with 19 touches, while Davis and Braelon Allen got just three apiece. With Hall healthy ahead of a Week 17 trip to Buffalo, Davis doesn't project to get much work.

Isaiah Davis Latest News
Three carries in Week 16

Davis rushed three times for 12 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams. Breece Hall worked as the clear lead back with 19 touches, while Davis and Braelon Allen got just three apiece. With Hall healthy ahead of a Week 17 trip to Buffalo, Davis doesn't project to get much work.
Ready for Week 16

Davis (back) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Rams, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Despite following an LP/LP/FP practice regimen this week, Davis is clear for Week 16 action, while fellow RB Braelon Allen (back) is listed as questionable. At the very least, Davis will be available behind Breece Hall this weekend, but he could have most of the complementary RB reps to himself if Allen is deemed inactive ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Logs limited practice Thursday

Davis (back) was limited at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. The same goes for fellow RB Braelon Allen (back), with both players also limited Wednesday. Davis likely will need to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Rams without an injury designation, but with starter Breece Hall not on the Jets' Week 16 injury report, neither Davis nor Allen have a clear path to ample volume, if available, this weekend.
Limited by back injury Wednesday

Davis (back) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Davis and Braelon Allen were both limited by back injuries Wednesday, though this is a new injury for Davis, while Allen exited during the Jets' 32-25 Week 15 win over the Jaguars. Even if both rookies are cleared for Sunday's game against the Rams, the majority of touches in the Jets backfield will likely go to Breece Hall, who was a full participant Wednesday.
Six touches in Hall's return

Davis rushed five times for 24 yards and caught his only target for two yards in Sunday's 32-25 win over the Jaguars. Davis finished with six touches compared to 11 for Breece Hall in the latter's return from a one-game absence due to a knee injury. Braelon Allen had two touches before exiting due to a back injury. Davis' usage in Week 16 against the Rams will likely be limited if both Hall and Allen suit up, but if Allen sits, Davis could maintain some involvement as a change-of-pace option after scoring twice on 23 touches over the past three games.
Steps up with Hall hurt

Davis rushed 10 times for 40 yards and a touchdown while catching three of six targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime loss to the Dolphins. Davis and Braelon Allen (11 carries for 43 yards) both took on larger roles as Breece Hall (knee) missed a game for the first time this season. Davis' 17-yard touchdown run in the second quarter marked the Jets' first touchdown in Miami since 2021 and gave New York a 10-9 lead. After handling 16 combined carries and targets apiece against Miami, Davis and Allen would likely maintain close an even split in Week 15 against the Jaguars if Hall remains sidelined.
Scores first NFL TD

Davis rushed once for four yards while catching all three of his targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Seahawks. Davis got more opportunities in practice coming out of New York's Week 12 bye since Breece Hall missed practice reps due to a knee injury. The rookie out of South Dakota State capitalized on the field Sunday, scoring his first NFL touchdown on a four-yard shovel pass in the second quarter. Davis also set a career high with four touches on offense, though that was third-most among Jets running backs behind Hall (12) and Braelon Allen (seven). While Davis showed some promise as a pass catcher in this game, he'll be tough to trust from a fantasy standpoint as long as both Hall and Allen are available.
Career-long 12-yard run

Davis rushed once for 12 yards and returned three kickoffs for 69 yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers. Davis has played almost exclusively on special teams in his rookie season, but he got a carry on the final play of this lopsided loss and turned it into the longest offensive play of his young career. The 2024 fifth-round draft pick out of South Dakota State remains behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen on the Jets' backfield depth chart.
Gets first NFL carries

Davis rushed three times for six yards and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 24-3 win over the Patriots. He also had a 27-yard kickoff return. After being limited to special teams work in his first two NFL games, Davis got the first three carries of his NFL career, as the Jets mixed him in after getting some breathing room on the scoreboard. Davis is a distant third on the team's running back depth chart heading into Week 4 against the Broncos, behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen, the latter of whom was selected one round before Davis in the 2024 NFL Draft.
