Zack Baun Latest News
Double-digit stops in Week 16

Baun recorded 11 total tackles (seven solo), including two tackles for loss, in Sunday's 36-33 loss to the Commanders. The Wisconsin product has recorded 11 or more tackles in four of his last six games, brining his season total up to 145 stops, which ranks third-best in the NFL. Baun has put together an incredible season in his first year with the Eagles, leading the team in total tackles and forced fumbles (five) through 15 games. He and Nakobe Dean form one of the NFL's best inside linebacker duos and are expected to continue wreaking havoc on opposing offenses as the season progresses.
Leading tackler in road win

Baun recorded 13 tackles (eight solo) including 0.5 sacks and a forced fumble during Sunday's 24-19 win at Baltimore. Baun added another stellar performance to his spectacular season Sunday, logging double-digit tackles for the sixth time this year. He's fourth in the league in tackles (118) going into a Week 14 matchup versus the Panthers.
Racks up 15 tackles Thursday

Baun recorded 15 tackles (nine solo) and a pass defensed during Thursday's 26-18 win versus the Commanders. Baun was on the field for all 63 of Philadelphia's defensive snaps in Week 11, and he managed his highest tackle total since Week 1. Only four players have more total tackles this season than Baun (102) as he prepares for a Week 12 tilt against the Rams.
Paces Philadelphia in tackles

Baun recorded eight total tackles (three solo), including one tackle for loss, in Sunday's 34-6 win over the Cowboys. Baun led the Eagles' defense in total tackles for the third consecutive game Sunday, bringing his season total up to 81 stops. The first-year Eagle has already doubled his previous season high in tackles through nine games this season, also tying his previous bests in sacks (2.0) and passes passes defended (two). Expect Baun to continue making plays for Philadelphia's defense as the year progresses.
Big game in win

Baun recorded 10 tackles (seven solo), including a tackle for a loss, two passes defensed and an interception in Sunday's 28-23 win over the Jaguars. The starting middle linebacker also played on 98 percent of the defensive snaps. Baun, who signed a one-year, $1.6-million deal with the Eagles in March, already has a career-high 79 tackles (52 solo), including 2.0 sacks, in 2024.
Eagles' leading tackler in win

Baun recorded 12 tackles (eight solo) and a forced fumble during Sunday's 37-17 win at Cincinnati. Baun's forced fumble came late in the fourth quarter and was recovered by fellow linebacker Nakobe Dean to essentially put Sunday's win on ice. He's in the midst of a career year and is a great IDP option going into a Week 9 showdown versus the Jaguars.
Returns to practice Thursday

Baun (shoulder) was a full participant during Thursday's practice session. Baun injured his shoulder during Sunday's game against the Giants, which kept him out of Wednesday's practice. It doesn't appear to be a serious injury, however, as Baun was able to practice without limitations Thursday. Barring any setbacks, the 2020 third-round pick should be good to go against the Bengals on Sunday. Baun leads the Eagles with 57 combines tackles through the first six games of the regular season.
Doesn't practice Wednesday

Baun (shoulder) was listed as a DNP on the Eagles' injury report Wednesday. Baun injured his shoulder during the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Giants, and he finished the contest with six tackles (four solo). The 2020 third-round pick will have two more chances to return to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. Baun is up to a team-leading 57 combined tackles through the first six games of the regular season.
Dealing with shoulder injury

Baun is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Giants due to a shoulder injury. Baun logged six tackles (four solo) before leaving in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. The Eagles have a large lead midway through the final quarter, so Baun may be kept out for the remainder of the contest. Jeremiah Trotter and Ben VanSumeren are candidates to see more snaps at inside linebacker alongside starter Nakobe Dean while Baun is sidelined.
