The Magic recalled Houstan from the G League's Osceola Magic on Thursday, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Orlando doesn't have any games scheduled until Sunday, so Houstan will likely join the NBA club to get a few practices in. He hasn't been able to carve out a role in the Magic's rotation this season, averaging 1.2 points in 5.5 minutes per game (17 appearances).

Heads back to bench
Houstan isn't in the starting five for Friday's game versus the 76ers. Franz Wagner will replace Houstan in the starting lineup Friday after missing Orlando's last two contests with an ankle injury. Houstan is averaging 3.4 points in 13.0 minutes across his previous five appearances coming off the bench.
Starting Wednesday
Houstan will start in Wednesday's game against the Bucks. Houstan made his return from a four-game absence due to a right ankle sprain in Tuesday's 118-106 loss to the Rockets, recording one steal and no other statistics in eight minutes. He didn't suffer any setbacks coming out of that contest and will now move into the starting five with Gary Harris (foot) and Franz Wagner (ankle) sitting out Wednesday. Over 12 starts this season, Houstan has averaged 8.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 three-pointers per game.

Houstan (ankle) will be available for Tuesday's game against Houston. Houstan has missed the past four games for Orlando, but he's officially off the injury report. That's good news for the Magic, as Franz Wagner (ankle) and Jonathan Isaac (back) are both considered questionable.

Houstan (ankle) is unavailable Sunday versus Chicago, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Houstan will miss his fourth consecutive game due to a right angle sprain, with his next opportunity to take the court coming Tuesday versus Houston. Moritz Wagner could see a few extra minutes, while the floor spacing of Gary Harris and Joe Ingles remains important to Orlando's rotation.
Iffy for Sunday
Houstan (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Bulls. Houstan is in danger of his missing his fourth straight contest Sunday due to a right ankle sprain. If Houstan is ruled, Jonathan Isaac should receive increased minutes against Chicago.
