Sterling Bennett is a Heavy.com contributor covering the NFL. Bennett has spent the past half decade as a sports broadcaster for 95.7 The Game, where he covers the San Francisco 49ers as part of the weekly postgame "Overtime" show. He has interviewed Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Nick Bosa among many others as part of his reporting for the station throughout Training Camp since 2022.

Bennett has also hosted the 49ers Access Podcast since 2020 and previously, worked as the Golden State Warriors Network Coordinator as part of the gameday broadcasting crew and working with NBA radio legend Tim Roye.

Before returning the Bay Area after graduating college, he worked as an editor for Fox Sports Radio alongside Rob Parker, Chris Broussard, and interned on the Jason Smith and Mike Harmon show.

Education

Sterling Bennett graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Journalism. Throughout his four years at APU, Bennett spent two years as the General Manager of the school's radio station and contributing to the newspaper and magazine outlets.

As a junior and senior, Bennett led the broadcasting crew for the baseball and football teams while being in charge of scheduling and maintaining all on-air broadcasts.
