Martin will come off the bench in Thursday's game against the Wizards. With Brandon Miller (ankle) returning from a three-game absence, Martin will slide back to the bench. Over his last three matchups (two starts), the 29-year-old has averaged 10.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals across 25.7 minutes per contest.

Latest Hornets News
Cody Martin : Retreats to bench Thursday
Martin will come off the bench in Thursday's game against the Wizards. With Brandon Miller (ankle) returning from a three-game absence, Martin will slide back to the bench. Over his last three matchups (two starts), the 29-year-old has averaged 10.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals across 25.7 minutes per contest.
Brandon Miller : Good to go against Washington
Miller (ankle) will play in Thursday's game versus the Wizards, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports. Miller has been upgraded from questionable to available Thursday after missing Charlotte's previous three outings due to a left ankle sprain. The 22-year-old forward should reclaim his starting spot from Cody Martin.
Nick Smith : Headed to G League
The Hornets assigned Smith to the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Thursday. Smith tallied four points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) in four minutes during Charlotte's most recent outing against Houston on Monday. However, the second-year guard should receive increased playing time while in the G League.
Brandon Miller : Questionable for Thursday
Miller (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Wizards. Miller has missed three straight games due to a left ankle sprain, but he was immediately ruled out for the prior two contests, so the questionable tag suggests the second-year wing is trending in the right direction. If he's cleared to play Thursday, Miller may face some restrictions.
Josh Green : Another quiet showing
Green totaled three points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes during Monday's 114-101 loss to the Rockets. Despite a solid workload, Green had a quiet night on the stat sheet. That's been the case for most of December as well. Over his last nine games, Green has seen 30.9 minutes per night with averages of 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 three-pointers.
Miles Bridges : Three-point shooting woes continue
Bridges provided 24 points (9-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Monday's 114-101 loss to the Rockets. Bridges had a solid performance Monday and was one of the Hornets' top producers, as he stepped into the role of being the No. 2 option due to the absence of Brandon Miller (ankle). However, and as good as his stat line was, Bridges continues to struggle with his three-point shot. Over his last five appearances, Bridges is averaging 18.6 points per game while shooting just 16.1 percent from beyond the arc.
LaMelo Ball : Scores 23 with eight dimes
Ball racked up 23 points (9-18 FG, 5-11 3Pt), five rebounds, eight assists and one block across 30 minutes during Monday's 114-101 loss to the Rockets. Ball returned from a brief one-game absence due to what the team described as left calf injury management, and the star floor general filled out the stat sheet impressively. He finished just two dimes away from recording a double-double, though his lack of efficiency could be an issue in some formats. Through his last nine games, Ball is averaging 30.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 9.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game. However, he's also committing 3.7 turnovers per contest while shooting 40.5 percent from the floor and 32.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Mark Williams : Comes close to double-double
Williams produced 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 19 minutes during Monday's 114-101 loss to the Rockets. Williams returned to the lineup after a one-game absence, and as he often does, he flirted with a double-double. The big man has scored in double digits in three of his previous four starts, averaging 12.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks across 18.0 minutes per game. As long as he's healthy, his per-minute production warrants fantasy consideration.
