Wade (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against Denver, Evan Dammarell of DownEuclid.com reports. Wade is in jeopardy of missing his second consecutive contest due to right knee soreness. If the 28-year-old forward is sidelined, Georges Niang and Sam Merrill could see an uptick in playing time.

Latest Cavaliers News
Dean Wade : Iffy for Friday
Wade (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against Denver, Evan Dammarell of DownEuclid.com reports. Wade is in jeopardy of missing his second consecutive contest due to right knee soreness. If the 28-year-old forward is sidelined, Georges Niang and Sam Merrill could see an uptick in playing time.
Caris LeVert : Scores 11 points
LeVert logged 11 points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes during Monday's 124-113 victory over the Jazz. With Max Strus healthy, LeVert won't have as much upside going forward. He's barely holding onto top-150 value in nine-category formats, so LeVert's fantasy managers in standard leagues may need to look at other options on the waiver wire.
Jarrett Allen : Quiet in win Monday
Allen had seven points (2-6 FG, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and two assists over 27 minutes during Monday's 124-113 victory over the Jazz. Allen continues to put up modest production on both ends of the floor, a contrast to what he was doing to open the season. Over the past week, Allen has averaged just 7.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 0.2 blocks. While this is not ideal, it is also not altogether surprising given the rise of Evan Mobley. Allen will almost certainly be better than this moving forward but could find himself taking a backseat to Mobley more often as the season develops.
Max Strus : Struggles in return
Strus accumulated two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists over 22 minutes during Monday's 124-113 win over the Jazz. Strus managed just two points while from a one-game absence as part of his ramp-up from injury. Coming off what might be considered a breakout campaign during the 2023-24 season, Strus is unlikely to reach any great heights given the current mindset in Cleveland. With the team playing about as well as could be expected, he could struggle to hit 30 minutes on any given night, liming his overall upside.
Sam Merrill : Hits six triples in start
Merrill chipped in 20 points (6-12 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, four assists and three steals over 24 minutes during Monday's 124-113 win over the Jazz. Merrill started for just the second time this season, scoring a season-high 20 points. Despite being a regular in the rotation, Merrill's playing time has fluctuated from one game to the next. Prior to Monday, he had scored a total of 21 points across the previous four games. At best, he should continue to serve as a viable perimeter threat off the bench, assuming the Cavaliers stay relatively healthy.
Sam Merrill : Starting Monday
Merrill is in the Cavaliers' starting lineup for Monday's game against the Jazz, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports. Merrill was initially listed as questionable for Monday's game due to a left quad contusion. Not only will he play, but he will make his second start of the 2024-25 regular season due to Dean Wade (knee) being ruled out. Merrill's first start was against the Celtics on Nov. 19, when he finished with six points, one rebound, one assist and one steal across 19 minutes.
Dean Wade : Won’t play against Utah
Wade (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Jazz, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The Cavaliers have an extended break before their next game against the Nuggets on Friday, so they'll give Wade additional time to recover from right knee soreness. Georges Niang and Caris LeVert should see an uptick in playing time Monday due to Wade's absence.
Sam Merrill : Will play against Utah
Merrill (quadriceps) is available for Monday's game against the Jazz, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Merrill was listed as questionable for Monday's game after sustaining a left quad contusion in Saturday's contest against the 76ers. He went through morning shootaround and is evidently feeling good enough to play. In the 10 games prior to his injury, Merrill averaged 7.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 21.0 minutes per game.
