Heading into next week's regular-season finale against the Bengals, Boswell has converted 40 of 43 field-goal attempts while making all 33 of his extra-point tries this year.
Patterson rushed once for two yards during Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Patterson was on the field for just one offensive snap Wednesday, and he had minimal production on his lone carry. The 33-year-old has played single-digit snaps on offense in four consecutive weeks, and he's rushed seven times for 14 yards while securing all three of his targets for nine yards and a touchdown during that time.
Williams failed to secure either of his two targets during Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Williams had racked up double-digit yards in each of the last three games, but his production took a step back on Christmas Day since George Pickens (hamstring) was back in action. Williams hasn't been a reliable contributor over his eight appearances with the Steelers this year, securing eight of 12 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown. Now that Pickens is healthy, Williams' upside for next week's regular-season finale against the Bengals is limited.
Jefferson failed to secure his lone target during Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Jefferson has been inconsistent over the past few weeks, and he was held without any receiving yards for the second time in the last three games Wednesday. Now that George Pickens (hamstring) is back on the field, it seems unlikely that Jefferson will have a significant role in next week's regular-season finale against Cincinnati.
Austin secured four of five targets for 31 yards during Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Austin led the Steelers in receiving yards in each of the last two games since George Pickens (hamstring) was sidelined. However, Pickens was back in action Wednesday, and Austin wasn't as productive in a game in which the Steelers' offense struggled to generate much production through the air. Austin has secured 19 of 24 targets for 272 yards and two touchdowns over his last six appearances, but his fantasy potential for the Steelers' regular-season finale against the Bengals next week will likely be limited as long as Pickens is available once again.
Freiermuth caught seven of eight targets for 60 yards in Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. The tight end led the Steelers in catches, targets and receiving yards on the day, benefitting from Russell Wilson being under constant pressure and needing to get rid of the ball quickly. Freiermuth is seven catches away from setting a new career high with 64, and he has a shot at reaching that mark in Week 18 against the Bengals -- he posted a season-best 6-68-1 line on seven targets in their first 2024 meeting.
Pickens caught three of seven targets for 50 yards in Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Russell Wilson was under constant pressure and didn't have much time to wait for deep routes to develop, but he did hit Pickens for a 41-yard gain late in the first quarter. The third-year wideout had missed the prior three games with a hamstring strain, but he appeared fully healthy Wednesday. Pickens needs exactly 100 yards to reach 1,000 on the season, a mark he'll take aim at in Week 18 against the Bengals.
Warren carried the ball 11 times for 71 yards and caught five of six targets for 41 yards in Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. He topped 100 scrimmage yards for the first time this season, but Najee Harris finished with two more totes and three more rushing yards. Warren has seen his workload increase the last two weeks, and while the Steelers lost both games, that can hardly be pinned on the third-year RB, who had a first-quarter TD run wiped out by a holding penalty Wednesday. Warren will look to wrap up the regular season in style in a Week 18 clash with the Bengals.
