Dean has been a tackle machine of late, recording double-digit stops in each of his past four contests.
Pickett (ribs) was a full practice participant Thursday. Pickett stepped in for Jalen Hurts (concussion) in the first quarter of this past Sunday's game in Washington and finished out the contest, playing 62 of 74 offensive snaps, completing 14 of 24 passes for 143 yards, one touchdown and one interception, taking three carries for 13 yards and fumbling one time (Philly recovered). He also emerged with a rib injury, which necessitated extra padding during Thursday's session, per Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal. Afterward, Pickett relayed to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer that he'll be good to go Sunday versus the Cowboys if Hurts isn't able to play, and considering the latter hasn't made any notable progress through the protocol for head injuries, Pickett seems likely to be under center for the Eagles this weekend.
Brown (knee/rest) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday. Brown similarly showed up on the Eagles' second practice report last week as limited with knee/rest before entering the weekend clear of a designation for this past Sunday's game at Washington. He proceeded to play all 74 snaps in the team's overtime loss on his way to eight catches (on 15 targets) for 97 yards and one touchdown while working most of the contest with Kenny Pickett (ribs) in place of Jalen Hurts (concussion) under center. Pickett seems poised to start for Hurts this weekend considering the latter hasn't practiced this week, so assuming Brown is able to suit up Sunday versus the Cowboys, he again should be on the receiving end of passes from Pickett.
Hurts (concussion/left finger) officially didn't practice Thursday. Hurts has yet to mix into drills since suffering a concussion this past Sunday at Washington. Meanwhile, Kenny Pickett, who emerged from that game with a rib injury, practiced in full Thursday and even told Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer that he'll be ready to go if Hurts isn't available for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. The Eagles may clarify the status of Hurts for Week 17 on Friday's injury report, which would set the stage for Pickett's first start with the team.
Shipley (concussion) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. Shipley was diagnosed with a concussion following the Eagles' Week 16 loss to the Commanders. His inability to practice Thursday indicates that he is facing an uphill battle to clear the league's five-step concussion protocols ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys. The Eagles signed Lew Nichols to the practice squad Thursday, and he could be elevated to the active roster to serve as the No. 3 running back behind Saquon Barkley and Kenneth Gainwell if Shipley is unable to play Sunday.

While Hurts looks set to be listed as a non-participant for the second straight day, fellow quarterback Kenny Pickett mixed into drills Thursday, albeit with some extra padding around his midsection to protect his rib issue, according to Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal. Aside from Hurts and Pickett, Philadelphia employs signal-callers Tanner McKee on the active roster and Ian Book on the practice squad.
